Your starter home renovation will generally fall into the following price ranges

Remodel (upgrade existing sqf)
$80–$150 (cosmetic updates like paint, flooring, kitchen/bath refresh)
New Build (Construction Only)
$140–$200 psf (builder-grade, basic finishes; often tract-style entry-level)
The above price ranges include these allowances.
'Allowances' are budgeted dollar amounts set aside in the contract for customizable items that you will select during the build process. These are placeholders based on the builder's estimates for standard options. If you choose higher-end items, you'd pay the difference. If lower, you may get a credit.
